Hetzer 3H self propelled gun

Description

The Hetzer line of self propelled guns was a series of armoured vehicles that Sumnia started fielding twenty years after the war of independence. They were originally purchased wholesale from the arms manufacturer Emanicas Industries, however as the Cchinese Protectorates were also purchasing armour units from Emanicas Sumnia found it prudent to prepare plans of its own to produce this and other pieces on the industrial world of Vulcos. These plans were never put into action however as Emanicas dropped all afiliation to the Chinese once hostilities began.
The Hetzer excelled over other direct-firing guns because it could lower the elevation by almost 20 degrees (as shown above(just for a comparison the British Challenger II can go +20 to -10). The gunner also aimed and fired the gun remotely, which reduced the risk of crew death considerably. It's other advantage was the use of a recoilless gun as the main armament from the Hetzer 2 onwards. This reduced its ammunition space due to the larger canisters, but it allowed the gunner to accurately fire at a faster rate.
The tank was the 'sniper' of the Sumnian Armoured units. It would take up a position overlooking the battlefield and take out the tracks and turrets of enemy units. It lacked the railguns of the main battle tanks and therefore their punching power, but it made up for that by providing accurate disabling shots instead of relying on brute strength.
By the time of the Hetzer 3, several variants had been created by their crews modifying their tanks. The most common was the K (for 'Killer') variant designed by the 73rd mechanised regiment, the Hetzer 3K returned to using the railgun and used the extra space to hold more fuel. This variant was also augmented with extra armour and was often deployed alongside regular armour to support an advance with long-range fire. Whilst it completely invalidated the purpose of the elevated gun poise it still served admirably. A substitute for this role has yet to be found.
The next common variant is the Hetzer 3H (for 'Hunter'). This variant played down the path of an isolated group of these vehicles being used to harrass enemy convoys. It removes most of the sparse turret armour and the back armour, extra fuel drums can also be held in positions on the vehicles back. The H can theoretically pursue any enemy MBT for days if necessary and has been used to hunt down fugitives who thought that they could outrun anything sumnia threw at them. It has never been used in an full battle so true combat effectiveness is unknown.
The final variant we shall look into is the A variant. (Amphibious or Arcturus depending on who you ask) This variant was not designed as a theoretical concept, but instead as a practical solution to cross the swamps of Arcturus Minor during a minor rebellion. In addition to making it amphibious the crew also made the turret rotate when it had originally been fixed. This variant proved pivotal in the assault of rebel fortresses in the swamplands and the crews who used them swear on their life that they would've done it years ago if they could.

This tank and others have been designed by the delightful Emanicas (emanicas.deviantart.com/ ) and you should totally go and stare at his KSP tanks. I still dont know how he made some bits. Thanks for letting me draw this.

Now thinking an oscillating turret that, you can still adjust and raise with two arms, count 'em, two, to hold the gun would be better in general. Better for lifting the gun too meaning you would get far more amazing elevation angles. THE IDEAS
